Can BotoxⓇ Boost Self-Confidence?

You’ve probably heard of this revolutionary aesthetic treatment and know that BotoxⓇ is a wildly popular way to refresh your face, wrinkles, and even help make your face more symmetrical.

But maybe you haven’t thought about the benefits that Botox brings other than the aesthetic improvements. The simple fact is that when you look better, you’re bound to feel better about yourself, too.

Because our Vitality MDs team is committed to treating the whole patient, we look at how an aesthetic treatment like Botox can minimize or erase frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet, while also contributing to your overall self-confidence.

Dr. Russell Bartels, Dr. Burt Webb, and our entire Vitality MDs team are highly experienced in administering Botox treatments and creating a treatment plan that addresses your specific concerns and goals.

What is Botox?

Interestingly, Botox is made from Clostridium botulinum, which in large amounts, is toxic. When administered in a controlled and medically safe way, however, it’s a game-changer for smoothing your face and making you look — and feel — years younger.

Prevents communication between your nerves and disables the muscles so they can’t move

How does Botox work?

Botox temporarily prevents the nerves under your face where it’s injected from communicating, so your muscles are temporarily disabled. Since they can no longer move, your muscles relax and your wrinkles are smoothed.

Botox has so many factors going for it that make it the perfect patient-friendly aesthetic choice:

It’s no mystery why this FDA-approved treatment stays in-demand. Botox really is a “win-win” if you’re wanting a younger, fresher look and the boost of self-confidence that goes with it.

What should I expect from a Botox treatment?

At Vitality MDs, you can expect an easy, comfortable, and seamless Botox treatment experience. Many patients report that a Botox injection feels like a mild pinch, but you have the option of receiving a topical numbing agent prior to treatment if you wish.

The procedure typically takes less than 15 minutes, so you’re in and out of our office quickly. You might experience slight redness or tenderness for a short while afterward, but that’s about it. Then you can continue with your normal activities.

And, you’re good after treatment for about three months or longer. We’re here for follow-up treatments as needed as well.

The gift of heightened self-confidence

It makes perfect sense that in studies, low self-esteem has been linked to depression and a diminished sense of wellbeing. When you take measures to boost your confidence — whether that’s getting exercise every day or visiting us for Botox treatment — you’ll feel better about yourself and how you look.

This positive effect leads to better performance at work, improved social relationships, and much more.
